I appreciate that this poem is pretty dire, if not diabolical. I can only apologise.

List your top 5 favourite fruits.

I do like tomatoes, and yes, it’s a fruit

But on the subject of kiwi, my opinion is mute.

I also like apples and love some ripe pears,

I eat them at bedtime as I climb the stairs.

Let’s consider the pineapple, juicy and sweet,

That is just the fruit that I like to eat.

And remember a mango, it’s so full of juice

That it’s best if you eat it while stood in a sluice.
