What was the last live performance you saw?
It was so long ago, I can’t remember the date, but it was a star studded show in Regents Park. I also cannot remember who was there. Useless aren’t I!
In Regent’s Park one summer’s eve,
A show I saw — or so believe.
The breeze was soft, the sky hung low,
But who was there? I do not know.
A stage, a song, a fleeting light,
The laughter echoed through the night.
Yet time has blurred the names and air,
I can’t recall what drew me there.
Perhaps it rained, or stars came out,
A story told, a lover’s shout.
But all that’s left is this faint gleam,
A shadow cast within a dream.
Still, memory’s haze can’t quite erase
The joy I felt in that green place.
Though names and faces fade away,
The magic lingers to this day.
