Are you superstitious?

Oh, fate! Oh, destiny! Oh, superstition’s lore,
You’ve haunted humankind since days of yore.
We’ve blamed black cats and ladders leaned askew,
But let me tell you, friends—it’s all a ruse, it’s true!
A mirror shattered? Seven years of woe?
Nay, just a mess to sweep—now watch me go!
I’ll clean it up, no curses to be found,
And maybe buy a new one, safe and sound.
A rabbit’s foot, a horseshoe, a four-leaf clover,
We clutch these charms like life is almost over.
But luck’s not in a trinket, don’t you see?
It’s just a placebo for anxiety!
The stars align, the tarot cards are drawn,
We think the universe has set its pawn.
But planets don’t care if you’re late for work,
And Mercury retrograde?
That’s just a quirk!
Oh, fortune tellers, psychics, crystal balls,
They spin their tales in dimly lit back halls.
“You’ll meet a tall, dark stranger,” they declare,
While I’m just wondering why I’m sitting there.
Fate’s not a script, destiny’s not a plan,
Life’s just a series of “I don’t know” and “Who can?”
So toss your salt, knock wood, or cross your heart,
But know the universe is winging it, just like your part.
So here’s to chance, to chaos, to the great unknown,
To carving paths through life on your own throne.
Forget the omens, hexes, and the mystic spree—
The only fate that matters is the one you make, you see!
Now pass the salt, just in case I’m wrong,
And let’s all laugh and sing this silly song.
For life’s a joke, and superstition’s the punchline,
So let’s enjoy the ride—it’s yours, it’s mine!
