Prompt:What’s your favorite time of day?
The Hour That Claims the Heart
Is it the blush of morning’s break,
When night’s deep shadows stir and wake?
A silent world, brushed gold and rose,
Where hope, like a fresh seedling, grows.
A stolen moment, crisp and clear,
That holds no room for doubt or fear.
A promise written in the light
Is morning’s grace your dear delight?
Or is it noon, a bold decree,
A zenith for the world to see?
The sun holds court in azure skies,
No place for wistful, soft goodbyes.
A vibrant, unapologetic blaze,
That fills the entirety of days.
For action, purpose, strength, and cheer
Is this triumphant hour dear?
Perhaps the afternoon’s slow drift,
A gentle, golden, gracious gift.
The light lies long across the floor,
A lazy, sweet, and calming lore.
A time for thought, a cup of tea,
For what is, and what soon will be.
A suspended sigh, a peaceful breath
This golden respite before the death?
Or do you wait for twilight’s fall,
The quiet, most beloved call?
When the horizon bleeds to peach,
And day and night extend their reach.
The world is softened, hushed, and deep,
And promises are yours to keep.
A bridge of dreams, a painter’s sky,
Does this brief,magic hour satisfy?
Or dare you love the velvet night,
The moon’s cool, solitary light?
When constellations pin the deep,
And all the world is laid asleep.
A time for secrets, truth, and soul,
To feel complete and truly whole.
A vast,dark canvas, endless, free
Is this the hour that calls to thee?
So tell me, which does your heart keep?
The waking dawn or restful sleep?
The brilliant peak or gentle end?
On which sweet hour do you depend?
For every soul a time is wove,
A perfect fit, a silent trove.
The favourite time your spirit knows…
Is yours alone, and how it glows.
